Mumbai Saga teaser: It’s Emraan Hashmi’s cop vs John Abraham’s don in this crime drama

The teaser of Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai saga has been released and sets the tone for this crime thriller. The teaser begins with the text “When Bombay was not yet Mumbai” and “When violence ruled the streets,” suggesting that the film is set in the time when the underworld had a large presence in the city.

John Abraham plays Amartya Rao, who rose from the streets and now wants to rule the city. He is rejected by Emraan Hashmi’s cop character, who has risen from the city’s “ghettos”.

Mahesh Manjrekar, Suniel Shetty and Gulshan Grover can be seen in Mumbai Saga, among others. The film is written, produced and directed by Sanjay Gupta. Gupta has made films like Shootout in Lokhandwala, Jazbaa, Kaabil, Musafir and Zinda. Like many of its previous directors, this film seems to be part of a green filter that gives it a different look.

Hashmi previously said in a statement, “As a matchmaker, he can stick a bullet in someone if that fulfills his motive. He’s a bad character in a world where that dog is the wolf. Nobody would imagine that I play a cop, but for this cop, as I said, he’s like a gangster. Be it by fair means or unfair, he will overthrow the guy he is looking for. So it’s kind of a home lawn, but it’s a very fun place for a pure Sanjay Gupta-style character who created his own cinema brand. And as an actor, I’m always ready to do something different. “

Mumbai Saga hits theaters on March 19.
