MORTAL KOMBAT TV Spots Contain Exciting New Footage Of The Warriors In Action

Four new TV spots for the upcoming ones Mortal Kombat Movies have made their way online, each featuring a few snippets of exciting new footage from Warner Bros. and the reboot of the New Line video game.

There’s some stuff from the last trailer in these promos, along with some new footage of the likes of Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Scorpion, Kano, and Mileena in action battling to survive the deadly tournament. We also hear Cole Young (Lewis Tan) speak for the first time, ending speculation that the character will be mute after not saying a single word in the trailer.

In “Mortal Kombat”, MMA fighter Cole Young, used to hitting money, is unaware of his legacy – or why Outworlds Emperor Shang Tsung sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, an otherworldly cryomancer, to chase Cole. Fearing for the safety of his family, Cole searches for Sonya Blade in the direction of Jax, a Special Forces Major who bears the strange dragon markings that Cole was born with. Soon he is in the temple of Lord Raiden, an elder god and protector of Earthrealm, who gives refuge to those who bear the mark. Here, Cole trains with veteran warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao and villain mercenary Kano as he prepares to face the enemies of the outside world in a high-stakes battle for the universe with the greatest champions on earth. But is Cole pushed hard enough to unlock his Arcana – the immense power from his soul – in time to not only save his family, but stop Outworld once and for all?

Mortal Kombat is scheduled for a simultaneous release in theaters and on HBO Max on April 12th.
