In an incredibly exciting development, Charles’ Country Pan Fried Chicken signed a lease to open at 144-146 West 72nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus. Charles’ is a legendary roast chicken spot on 132nd and Frederick Douglass Boulevards in Harlem.

Run by Septuarian Charles Gabriel, it makes “some of the best fried chicken you’ll ever eat,” according to Gothamist, who describes it as “perfectly flavored with Charlie’s secret blend and just the right balance of juicy, meaty insides and light.” crisp, slightly tough outside. “The Times says that this is where fried chicken” reaches its peak. ” Jack Khaski, one of the agents who represented the landlord, tells us that the opening is expected in about two months. A new restaurant from the team behind it Friedman’s lunch will open at 50 West 72nd Street (Central Park West-Columbus Avenue) according to a communiqué from the Community Board. We contacted Friedmans to find out what they were going to open.

Cosmetics store L’Occitane closed its store on 198 Columbus Ave (69th Street) and appears to have closed on Broadway and 76th Street as well (the store is empty). The Days Inn at 94th and Broadway is now a Night hotel. The Night Hotel also has a location in Times Square and was apparently voted Sexiest Hotel by TripAdvisor. Former Governor David Paterson said he had an affair at this Days Inn during his rocky days in his marriage, our tipster Jodie pointed out.
